An urban look has been chosen for the modular bathrooms of the Original Sokos Hotel Tripla. This 4-star hotel is part of a new urban centre in Helsinki.
The walls in this urban look bathroom are to die for. Large, machined tiles match the washbasin countertop, exposed shelves and front panel of the bathtub, which is made to measure in black speckled Solid Surface material.
The lighting is another important factor in the overall look. A ceiling light in the form of a recessed light panel was custom-made for this project. A shadow light is also installed along one of the walls. This creates ambient lighting by means of a ceiling recess that was specially developed to hold the LED strip. The black towel rail is made to measure and fitted wall to wall above the washbasin.
We produced 408 modular bathrooms for this hotel for the construction company YIT, the largest construction company in Finland.
Dedicated technical solutions
The compartment behind the WC, which continues into the shower/bathtub area, required a particularly complex solution with the shower or bathtub doors custom -shaped to fit on the wall and along the compartment. We came up with a special solution for fitting the bidet next to the WC in the compartment.
