Background
The Clarion Hotel Helsinki is the leading Clarion Hotel in Finland and is part of the Nordic Choice Hotels group with more than 170 hotels in Scandinavia. The group includes the Comfort, Quality and Clarion brands and is also a subsidiary of Choice Hotels International, one of the largest hotel groups in the world. The hotel was designed by Davidsson Tarkela Architects and built by the Norwegian construction company Hent AS. The hotel opened in 2016 and consists of two towers, each 16 storeys high. These contain a total of 425 rooms.
Bathrooms by Eurocomponents
Between 2015 and 2016 we built and delivered 431 Monolite Smart modular bathroom units featuring a metal frame shell with gypsum fibre panels and cement floor.
We designed and built seven different types of bathrooms, including bathrooms for suites with shower, bathtub and marble washbasin countertop with double basin/or corner washbasin countertop.
We chose top quality international brands for our finishes with locally sourced materials and craftspeople to obtain a level of finish to match the standard of the project.
We used a total of four different types of tiles to produce the bathrooms including wood-effect glazed porcelain floor tiles and mother-of-pearl finish mosaic wall tiles. The washbasin countertop was made out of Carrara marble and the washbasin fits under the countertop.
Everything is finished off by a clear glass shower/bathtub partition made to measure according to the type of bathroom and a bidet in the WC area, an accessory that is often requested in Finnish bathrooms
